After matriculating I studied philosophy, did a bachelor’s in social science, then finished with an MA in theology. Ordained a priest in 2006, worked in inner city Joburg before moving to the USA for a year. Returned to head up an Institute which is a think tank on church and society and did lots of training and political commentary. I worked for Vatican Media in Rome. Have travelled extensively – in Europe and the East. Memorable visit was to Morocco when the Pope went there in 2019. Also went to Mauritius for Pope’s visit later that year. Am now working back in Braamfontein, Joburg, and doing a PhD at UJ.
